Six years ago today we welcomed our sweet Abigail into the world! Revisiting her whirlwind of a birth story is one of my favorite annual traditions, along with thanking God that we all made it to the birth center in one piece.
Yesterday Abigail started asking if it was bedtime yet at 11 am. She couldn't wait to go to sleep since the next day would be her birthday :)
Today we celebrated Abigail with an early morning piñata, a house completely decked out in green and accented with jungle animals, a trip to the sporting goods store to buy her first pair of roller blades, and of course cake and ice cream.
I'll always remember rocking out with her on the drive home to Scarlett Johannson's song, Set It All Free, from her favorite movie, Sing. We air guitared and sang way too loud and Abigail gave it her whole self, as she does most everything.
Abigail declared it the best day of her life. I'll count any day that has you in it as one of the best, Abigail.
