Just Like That, Spring Has Sprung

The spring came suddenly, bursting upon the world as a child bursts into a room, with a laugh and a shout and hands full of flowers. - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Spring has finally come to New England, and it feels like everything is right in the world. The windows are open, a warm breeze is blowing, and I'm back to my mid-morning fresh air break to hang clothes out on the line.

We're working on our seasonal bucket list. So far we've got berry picking, bike rides, a visit to the Boston Public Gardens and a ride on the Swan Boats, and a super secret Birthday Vacation.

With all four members of Team Otto celebrating birthdays in April and May, we began a tradition years ago of taking a birthday vacation instead of spending on gifts.

This year we've rented an Airbnb about an hour outside the city and we'll be making day trips to some surprise destinations with Mysterious Benedict Society style riddles to unveil each day's excursion. Anticipation is at a fever pitch!

Are you making a spring bucket list? I'd love to hear what you're looking forward to this spring.

  1. That sounds so fun! We are enjoying spring weather today and got all the bikes out; filling tires and checking seat heights. Thanks for sharing with us at the Welcome Spring party. Pinned.

  2. How fun! This sounds like a sweet idea! We are finally getting some nice weather here in GA. We had a super rainy winter, which just means that it is cold and yucky as it is too warm for snow. But still too cold for me!

    Thanks for Linking up @LiveLifeWell!

    Blessings,

    Amy
