Christmas 2016

A little later than I anticipated, but I wanted to share some pictures from our Christmas this year.

We had an unexpectedly sweet and peaceful Christmas.

Abigail made an impromptu stage debut in our church's Christmas Eve program.

We delivered presents to moms and babies at our neighborhood  residential recovery program.

We made and ate multiple gingerbread houses, and made and ate way too many Christmas cookies!

We read stacks of our favorite Christmas picture books.  Like Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree.  And Apple Tree Christmas.  And the Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree.  And An Orange for Frankie.

And then there was the magic of Christmas day.

We snuggled on the couch while Nick read us our favorite version of the Christmas story.

We opened presents.

We played Play Dough.

We baked cinnamon rolls and breakfast goodies.

We went for a hike and played at the playground.

And then we snuggled up on the couch AGAIN and Mom and Dad cried as we watched It's a Wonderful Life! while the kids squealed and said "I wish I had a million dollars.  HOT DOG!" at least a million times.

I hope you and your family had a wonderful time celebrating this year, and we pray that the New Year is treating you well so far!  Hugs from our family to yours.
