Bringing You Up to Speed on Moses

I'm going to try to briefly catch you all up on the last four months of Moses' life and bring you up to the present.

Moses at One Month

Here's a few pictures of Moses as a one-month-old.

For me the first month of Moses' life is a blur of feedings and pediatrician appointments (seven in the first month!). Moses was having weight gain issues and I was dealing with a serious case of postpartum anemia, so my memory is a little fuzzy. One thing I do know - my mom was our life saver! She took extra time off work so that she could stay with us for practically an entire month. She cooked for us, cleaned, did all our laundry, organized our entire house from top to bottom, and kept Moses company between virtually all of his nighttime feedings. I don't know how we would have survived with out her! Thank you, Mom!

Here's a picture of Moses from those early days with his Grandma.

For those of you who are into stats, here are Moses' at one month.
Weight: 9 pounds, 3 ounces
Length: 21 1/2 inches

Moses at Two Months

As a two month old, Moses was starting to smile and show us his personality. He had also begun rolling over from his stomach to his back (I don't think his pediatrician believed me when I told him this, but I promise it's true). At two months, Moses was enjoying stroller rides, "dancing" to the music on his mobile, and enjoying the view while he perched on his daddy's shoulder.

Here are some pictures of Moses as a two-month-old.

Moses' stats as a two-month-old:
Weight: 11 pounds, 10 ounces
Length: 23 1/2 inches

Moses at Three Months

By the time he reached three months, Moses already had his first major train trip under his belt and had established his reputation as a very good traveler. Just before he turned three-months-old, we journeyed back to Michigan so Moses could meet his grandparents, great-grandparents, and all the rest of the family.

One of the highlights of the trip was seeing him with his cousins.

He also got to have his first baby play date with his then six-month-old buddy, Caleb, and Caleb's mom, my dear friend from high school, Kim. Clearly sitting up was beyond Moses' reach at this point, but Caleb definitely had it mastered :)

During the visit Moses reached another important milestone - he got his first John Deere hat!

Moses' stats as a three-month-old are as follows:
Weight: 13 pounds, 3 ounces
Length: 24 inches

Moses at Four Months

As a four month old Moses is practicing lots of new tricks. He is working on the full roll-over, he can grab his toes and almost get them into his mouth, he loves playing peek-a-boo, and he will "converse" with anyone who will listen, showing off his cooing and babbling. He loves playing with his singing cow toy (see below) and reading stories.

Moses' four month stats:
Weight: 14 pounds, 6 ounces
Length: 25 inches

I hope you survived this whirlwind trip through the last four months of Moses' life. Thanks for stopping by!
